CUMULUS MEDIA - Dallas has an immediate opening for a News Anchor/Reporter. The ideal candidate understands story selection, the power of audio and sound, and the ability to grab the listener with compelling, fast-paced storytelling. Now, we just need you to help us win. Social media skills (Facebook) , (X), Instagram, etc. are a must. You must also be willing to hit the street and report when needed. We prefer the ideal candidate has three to five years of experience in medium-to-major market broadcast news, and possess an extremely excellent work ethic, displays a positive attitude, is a self-starter, and can immediately contribute to our award-winning news department.

Worth metro area: KTCK 1310 The Ticket, KPLX 99.5 The Wolf, The New Country 96.3, WBAP 820 and 93-3 FM News/Talk, KLIF-AM 570 News/Talk. Responsibilities:

  • Write and voice news stories including outside of the newsroom.
  • Write news stories for the station websites.
  • Post new stories on social media.
  • Handles emergency news/weather in show; on call for weather disasters/breaking news.
  • Individual will perform various news duties as needed, with the potential of working overnight or early morning hours, and some anchoring as necessary

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience in medium-to-major market broadcast news
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent On-Air delivery.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media.
  • Thorough understanding of web posting.
