VP of Film & TV Development

Position Overview : The VP of Film and TV will be responsible for developing projects from existing and future acquired IP, as well as sourcing and developing original projects targeting both US and global audiences.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the development phases from original pitch/concept/script to execution, providing notes in line with the vision of the project. 
• Hear and respond to pitches, scripts, and submissions; evaluate new projects to assess their value as it relates to the company's creative direction.
• Manage projects thru production and post-production, working in tandem with project stakeholders, including financiers and distributors.
• Create and maintain active relationships within the creative community – agents, writers, producers, talent, etc.

Experience & Skills: 

• 8+ years of narrative scripted experience in development at a film and/or TV studio, network/platform or production company 
• A track record of identifying, acquiring and packaging projects for a variety of financiers and distributors while attracting and attaching top creative talent
• Excellent relationships with talent, agents, producers, buyers, and non-traditional entertainment and media companies/figures.
• Ability to understand marketplace demand, ever-changing mandates, and what that requires for the internal slate.
• Possesses the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume workload.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital in order to liaise with a range of people and personalities.
