Wynn Las Vegas has an in-house 24/7 full-service Entertainment Production Services and Sound & Video Department to accommodate audio-visual and technical requests associated with convention, exhibit, private, and catered event functions. Customer support for our clients is the number one factor that determines our department’s success.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager of Entertainment Productions Services, the Assistant Operations Manager will be assisting in administering the Director’s vision and assisting in supervising, managing, and organizing within Entertainment Production Services.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Operations Manager in managing and overseeing all daily floor functions.
- Assist’s in overseeing daily flows and cross-checking information from Production Managers.
- Creates and maintains timetables for tasks, deadlines and resources, communicates effectively, and works with a high degree of creativity and personal responsibility.
- Communicates expectations and roles to staff.
- Manages multiple priorities simultaneously often in stressful and high-pressure situations.
- Contributes to the financial health of the department by maximizing revenue opportunities and controlling costs.
- Effectively manages internal and external guest relations, some of which will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Responsible for addressing guest and team member issues as appropriate.
- Manages and oversee’s all assigned event production schedules, equipment lists, labor requests and facility requirements.
- Ensures the department delivers a maximum level of customer service and production value.
- Works with safety as a priority and follows department and company safety standards.
- Ensures all Wynn Las Vegas core values, property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Provides positive feedback, coaching, and enforces progressive discipline in accordance with established policies and procedures for technical staff when necessary or warranted.
- Encourages teamwork and aids in building cross department relationships.
- Responsible for assisting in effective supervision and administration to include staff development and training, performance management, prioritizing and assigning work, and related activities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Experience / Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Required current OSHA 30 General Industry Safety card.
- Required experience in resident/touring live theatrical production and/or convention/special events.
- Experience with project planning and management preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in any of the following: Theatrical Lighting, Live Audio, Video Production preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure as well as manage and lead technical staff and management.
- Willing to define, practice and conform to safe working procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA health and safety protocols is required.
- Must possess excellent problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with proven talents in leadership, safety, and teamwork.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
- Models a professional and polished appearance as required by company guidelines.
- Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
- Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
