Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Counsel at the Writers Guild of America West. The Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice, negotiating and drafting contracts and settlement agreements, handling grievances and arbitrations, and handling proceedings before the NLRB. This position will be based in Los Angeles.
Qualifications
- Legal Research, Contract Negotiation, and Drafting skills
- Experience in handling grievances, arbitrations and litigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of entertainment industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- First chair arbitration or trial experience, a plus
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and State Bar admission required
