Job Function: Through the oversight of the NCAA and ESPN multi-media agreements, manage the NCAA brand by assisting the broadcast team on various championship tracking and reporting efforts; serving as primary liaison between DII and DIII championships and NCAA broadcast with the expanded broadcast rights; and serving as broadcast liaison on-site and remotely for select NCAA championships that are produced by ESPN.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the broadcast teams efforts in reporting and tracking documents for championship ratings inclusive but not limited to excel worksheets and high-level PowerPoint seasonal recap reports. Create seasonal recaps of hours of coverage that track increase or decrease of exposure across all NCAA championships. Assist with sales and marketing annual tracking for digital and virtual signage activations with ESPN and reporting of NCAA corporate champion and partner engagement. Work with Veritone (Championship footage archiving partner) and ESPN on reporting the hours and placement of the 8 hours of original content that ESPN is obligated to dedicate to NCAA championship programming.
  • Serve as liaison between DI, DII and DIII governance, championship operations managers and the NCAA broadcast team to ensure reports, modifications, enhancements, or any changes are fully vetted and communicated appropriately for all DI, DII and DIII championships on ESPN and/or any other broadcast network.
  • Serve as liaison between broadcast partner and championships staff, hosts, and sport committees for select NCAA championship events throughout the year. Conduct pre-championship site visits and serve as on-site liaison during the championships. Facilitate discussions pertaining to championship operations, event timing, special access requests, and any television issues and/or strategic discussion.
  • Communicate with and educate NCAA membership and national office stakeholders on issues surrounding television programming and production issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education Required high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience required, preferably with school production and/or broadcast network work experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization (internally and externally).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and regions.
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask efficiently, even in high-pressure environments.
  • Establish and meet high standards for service and reliability.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Estimated Travel Required <20%
  • This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.

Experience

Required
