Job Summary:

About the Role & Program

The Customer Engagement Platform team achieves powerful customer experiences across marketing touchpoints by using data and tools to bring marketing to life! As a member of the Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) team within our organization our intern will have the opportunity to grow their skills and contribute to team projects.

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.

What You Will Do

We are passionate about data, analytics, and storytelling! We use a mix of technologies to develop visual solutions that provide insights on consumers and their marketing activities. This role acts as a consultant within the organization to understand business opportunities and communicate consumer insights. This opportunity will allow our intern to grow as a data-driven storyteller while improving our ability to better understand our consumers.

  • Build BI products such as dashboards, presentations, and infographics.

  • Develop extract-transform-load (ETL) data pipelines.

  • Write technical documentation for BI products and data pipelines.

  • Present products and insights to our partners.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience wrangling data from databases and crafting BI solutions that optimally communicate compelling stories through data visualizations.

  • Proficient with data visualization tools like Tableau.

  • Experience using SQL, Python, R or SAS with a desire to strengthen and apply those skills.

  • Creative problem solving & analytical skills.

  • Curiosity about pursuing an analytical career path.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience programming in SQL, Python or R for data manipulation and extraction purposes.

  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms.

  • Familiarity with marketing concepts.

Education

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • A student studying for their Master's degree or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date from an accredited college/university majoring in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics or a related field is preferred.

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
