SOCIAL VIDEO PRODUCER AND EDITOR

  

ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT is the leading entertainment news video creator, hands down, and we are looking for a creative video producer and editor who can create compelling social vertical videos. 

  

The ideal candidate will live and breathe TikTok/Instagram Reels and know how to produce and edit content for the platforms at a timely pace. You will also be overly familiar with the latest trending topics in pop culture, internet humor and appreciate a good throwback, digging through ET's epic vault to surface unique moments for a new audience. You'll also know how to balance your creative edits with the vibe of the biggest entertainment news brand. This is not an on camera position. 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Pitch, produce, and edit videos for distribution across ET's digital platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube #shorts, and Facebook Reels 
  • Review incoming footage from original shoots and select breakout moments to be turned into social video 
  • Surface relevant past interviews and footage in unique ways from the ET Vault 
  • Order graphics and pull video/image assets for edits 
  • Work with Social Leads to ensure the finished product is legally and creatively approved and consistent with all style and brand guidelines 
  • Post videos on respective social platforms with accurate copy that will appeal to the audience 
  • Understand platform analytics and use data to inform pitches/edits 
  • Assist in planning and coordination for special event coverage 
  • Maintain consistent brand tone in videos  
  • May include occasional or scheduled shifts that require night and weekend work around big events 

  

Qualifications   

  • 4+ years producing and editing digital video 
  • Proficiency in Premiere and Photoshop 
  • Deep understanding of publishing and social video analytics across social platforms and the nuances of the end-user experience on each 
  • Ability to keep a pulse on viral trends, sounds, and topics across digital platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram 
  • A love of pop culture and a competitive nature that thrives in an environment that requires both speed and accuracy  
  • Experience creating videos for a large digital first audience 
  • Comfortable with receiving feedback on both line edits and overall structural changes to the story 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as coverage needs dictate 

  

This is an LA-based position with a hybrid schedule from ET's offices 

  • Sunday – Thursday, 12pm -9pm PT 
  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in office 
  • Wednesday & Sunday can be work from home
