We are based in San Francisco, with offices in New York and Chicago. We are open to hiring in the following states:
California, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C.

A manager of digital strategy is a primary client contact who works in close coordination with client resources and other Highwire team members to advance integrated strategic communications programs that meet client marketing objectives. They possess a deep understanding of: different client marketing functions and how they interact and complement each other; existing and emerging channels for reaching B2B technology audiences; and appropriate measurement of overall integrated campaigns. The manager will develop and lead execution of digital programs and spearhead overall campaign ideation. This person possesses management and collaboration skills consistent with a PR account manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage simultaneous digital efforts for multiple clients
  • Creation of digital programs
  • Evaluation of client objectives and goals
  • Maintains rhythm of client contact to move programs forward
  • Dictates measurement efforts, manages creation of measurement reports

  • Work with other team members to lead development and execution of digital programs
  • Creates program elements based on understanding of client objectives
  • Considers content, communities, and channels that will affect the program
  • Dictates social media posting, management of influencers, management of digital content creation
  • Content amplification recommendations
  • Measurement of program impact aligned to client objectives

  • Demonstrated proficiency across a range of digital program disciplines, including:
  • Analytics
  • Social media management and influencer management
  • Content marketing & marketing automation
  • SEM
  • SEO
  • Email marketing

  • Support business development efforts (for existing or potential clients)
  • Support creation of digital program ideas to complement PR recommendations
  • Manage creation of social audits and provide strategic recommendations
  • Participate/lead digital programming for existing client planning meetings and new business proposals

Self Development

  • Proactively setting up quarterly goals with manager; tracking against goals and demonstrating growth
  • Effectively prioritizing responsibilities based on impact, timelines, workflow and client goals
  • Identifying areas for self-improvement and bringing suggestions and solutions to management

Success Factors:

  • 5 years of client facing digital experience (social, digital content, influencer, interactive, paid, etc.)
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • The ability to quickly and smartly adjust digital strategy, voice and tone based on client and audience
  • The ability to take initiative, keep organized and handle multiple projects at once
  • Strong strategic client consultancy skills gained in an agency environment
  • Experience with social media management tools, or other digital tools for analytics, influencer management, etc.
  • Experience incorporating integrated digital and social strategies and tactics within broader communications campaigns

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
