This is a leave cover contract based in SYDNEY.
Enough about us! What you’ll do as a Finance Analyst:
This role will provide support to Financial and Business colleagues and assist in financial planning as well as promoting financial discipline to evaluate, budget and actively manage the financial discipline for technology and strategic services.
Functions will also include:
- Managing the annual operating plan, long-range plan, capital planning
- Preparation of month reporting including P&L variance analysis vs budget/forecast
- Preparation of reporting & analysis of capital expenditure submissions
- Assist in preparing and consolidating various ad hoc analysis, reports and information requests
- Partnering with the finance team to collect accurate information and input data into financial systems
- Ensuring accuracy of data uploaded into the planning tool
What are we looking for in a Finance Analyst? What’s important?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance preferred
- CPA/CA qualified preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in a broad range of accounting functions
- Strong business English language skills both spoken and written
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced Excel skills essential
- Experience in SAP or Oracle is an advantage, as is experience in the Media and Entertainment industry
- Desire to be recognized by stakeholders as a business partner
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to challenges and issue resolution
- Ability to work independently and show ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and meet deadlines
- Confident in working with multiple deadlines with ability to prioritise
- Absolute attention to detail
- A team player with a cooperative attitude
