Television Director - Business Reality Series

Overview: We are seeking an experienced director for our groundbreaking business reality series. This role requires a versatile professional who can blend high-end reality TV production techniques with documentary-style storytelling, utilizing cutting-edge virtual production methods. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in directing both studio-based reality shows and on-location documentary segments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Studio Production:
• Direct studio segments utilizing Unreal Engine, advanced green screen, VFX, and real-time rendering technology
• Collaborate effectively with the studio's in-house camera operators and technical team
• Guide performances of high-profile participants in a dynamic studio environment
• Documentary Segments:
• Direct compelling mini-documentary segments showcasing innovative companies
• Conduct and direct insightful interviews with business leaders
• Oversee B-roll acquisition to enhance the narrative of each segment
• Event Coverage:
• Direct / operate single-camera coverage at various exclusive events
• Conduct and direct on-the-spot interviews with attendees, maintaining a balance between journalistic integrity and entertainment value
• Visual Storytelling:
• Develop and execute a cohesive visual style that enhances the show's themes
• Work closely with the cinematographer and studio team to achieve a cinematic look that elevates the production value
• Team Leadership:
• Collaborate effectively with in-house studio teams, including their camera operators and technical staff
• Lead and inspire the production crew, including sound technicians and other specialists
• Work seamlessly with the showrunner, producers, and post-production team to ensure a cohesive production process
• Technical Proficiency:
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of virtual production techniques, including real-time rendering and in-camera VFX
• Proficiency in operating professional-grade cameras and sound equipment for on-location shoots
• Adapt quickly to various technical setups and workflows

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience directing high-profile reality TV shows and/or documentary series
• Proven track record of working with advanced virtual production technologies
• Experience in camera operation and sound recording for on-location shoots
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with high-profile talent and business executives
• Demonstrated ability to direct time-sensitive, high-pressure productions while maintaining creative vision
• Flexibility and adaptability in working with various technical setups and in-house studio teams

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $8,000.00 - $15,000.00 per month
