Job Purpose


BBC Studios is seeking a Vice President, Consumer Products & Licensing, Head of North America to lead the US CP&L team in growing the ancillary footprint for major BBC brands including, Bluey, Doctor Who, BBC Earth and more. Develop a strategic plan that meets the long term objectives of each of the priority brands while pursuing opportunistic IP to build out a robust portfolio of businesses. Maintain a high-performance culture while putting people first to ensure BBC continues to be a first-choice place to work.


  • Oversee and set the strategic commercial plan for franchise growth across the US and Canada.
  • Align with global to set CP&L priorities and develop category specific strategies to maximize opportunity while promoting IP health and longevity.
  • Build and manage a team of category experts to develop a portfolio of best-in-class licensing partners and retail partners to strategically develop long-term franchises.
  • Develop and execute retail marketing initiatives, driving the successful sales of programs in store and online.
  • Represent the needs of NA CP&L to internal stakeholders which include, Brands, Creative, Digital, Marketing, PR and Compliance to garner support and resources necessary to meet commercial goals.
  • Ensure operational excellence by developing and evolving a licensing infrastructure which optimizes resources, creates efficiencies, and scales opportunities.
  • Foster a first-choice place to work culture, that puts people first through development, feedback, and a balanced work environment to promote a high performance culture.

Responsibility

  • Support licensing and retail sales leads by defining business objectives and supporting licensee acquisitions and retail sales as necessary.
  • Connect brand and marketing to retail to build campaigns to drive clean sell-thru of product programs in store.
  • Prioritize the health and wellness of BBC Studios franchises while upholding the reputation and the core values of the BBC
  • Maintain a productive team by establishing clear roles and responsibilities striving to achieve annual business goals while maintaining a people-first culture.
  • Support leadership in corporate priorities and business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience


Professional Experience:

  • 10-15 years experience in consumer products, licensing, retail with particular expertise in the toy category and retail marketing.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation


The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $225k to $240k. This range does not include bonus compensation or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.



This range is not inclusive of a competitive bonus, flexible, hybrid working schedule & benefits including but not limited to: 100% BBCS covered medical & dental insurance, vision, & 401k match.
