POSITION OVERVIEW

The Festival Post-Production Supervisor, Video Content is charged with managing marketing video projects for the Content team related to the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

Working closely under the direction of the Content Producer, the Festival Post-Production Supervisor, Video Content supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to creating content that highlights the needed work of independent filmmakers, and the resources that Sundance provides these artists.

This temporary position works full time from Wednesday, October 30, 2024 through Friday, February 21, 2025 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position must be based within a commutable distance to our Park City, UT office in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout its employment. There will be ample opportunity for remote work leading up to the Festival in January.

Top priorities include but are not limited to…

  • Managing video post-production and proactively problem-solving that arise to ensure efficient workflows.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders, creative teams, and Festival personnel on all projects to generate high quality videos within designated timelines.

  • Work closely with a team of editors, assistant editors, motion graphics artists and the social/content team both in-person and remotely to help create and communicate the workflow, schedule, and a balanced workload for the post team.

  • Partnering with the greater the Content team to monitor and maintain production schedules, ensuring all deliverables meet due dates for revisions and deadlines.

  • Managing the tracking and organization of a high volume of files, links and other video assets using Frame.io Camera to Cloud, as well as Dropbox, Google Drive and other file management systems.

  • Assembling basic edits using Adobe Premiere and companion applications while maintaining disciplined project, sequence, and file management skills.

  • Preparing assets for delivery with all requested accessibility measures, including captioning files, and basic technical finishing.

  • Uploading files to YouTube and other platforms, and coordinating with Sundance Institute colleagues to ensure complete delivery across platforms.

  • Supporting with producing duties, including getting approvals, gathering needed assets, etc.

  • Providing leadership and guidance to fellow team members on post-production workflows and timelines.

  • Supporting other department projects and Festival-preparation logistics as needed.

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • 3 years of related work experience in overseeing post-production workflows for video projects.

  • A strong understanding of post-workflows and technical delivery standards.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of people.

  • Creative problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and companion applications.

  • Ability to work with basic motion graphics is a plus.
