The Associate, Residual Review will conduct analysis with support from the Business Analyst and other team members to determine which Contributors and film/television titles are eligible for review. The Associate will prepare compliance audit review notices, confidentiality agreements, and tolling agreements to send to the Contributor and be the main point of contact for any questions that may arise throughout the process. The Associate will also oversee fieldwork of assigned audit firms to ensure budgetary guidelines are maintained. Additionally, the Associate will support the CAO in settlement negotiations, collections through compliance audit reviews, and refining the overall process to ensure maximum efficiency.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts research and analysis using internal and external data to determine eligibility of producers and distributors for compliance audit reviews of obligated film and television titles.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with producers, their representatives, and other rights holders by answering questions and providing guidance on residuals terms of the AFM Basic Theatrical, Basic Television Film, and Live Television/Videotape Agreements.
  • Supports outside auditors and CAO & Executive Counsel in various aspects of the compliance audit review process from initiation through completion.
  • Prepares regular updates on the status of active reviews.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have experience in project management.

· Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

· Must be comfortable reading dense contracts, and communicating the synthesized information in an accessible way to a variety of audiences. Additional training will be provided on specified agreements.

· Must be customer service oriented and have the ability to interact well with producers, their representatives and staff, and other rights holders with tact and diplomacy.

· Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

· Must be well-organized and detail oriented.

· Must be able to multi-task and work independently.

· Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact.

· Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic, and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
