The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description
Role Summary:
This position works closely with the Business Affairs Senior Manager as well as other members of the Business Affairs personnel in order to help maintain and track intellectual property owned by Universal. Candidate should possess knowledge of the legal aspects of the entertainment industry and familiarity with various types of relevant agreements. Attention to detail is of utmost importance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include contract analysis and data entry, archiving critical digital documents into the internal Business Affairs Salesforce database.
- Memorialize prior contracts, using ELF, including, but not limited to: above the line, underlying rights, distribution, and acquisition deals.
- Run detailed custom reports through Salesforce
- Maintain and distribute status reports regarding development deals in negotiation
- Manage/update contacts in internal database
- Assist with historical research, using Studio System and internal contracts to update internal database.
- Provide back-up coverage for the Sr. Manager of BA Administration
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Two years of legal assistant experience, preferably with experience in Business Affairs or Legal Affairs at a movie studio or major production company
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Database management experience (legal database systems are a plus)
Desired Characteristics:
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and summarize contracts
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are a must
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Ability to learn quickly, including operation of new databases
- Ability to exercise discretion with sensitive information
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
