Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

Our Finance organization is constantly evolving, and our Finance Engagement team is positioned to help our enterprise navigate that change. This specialist will be a key partner to Finance, Technology, Strategy and Insights teams across TWDC, as well as our HRBPs, as we seek to promote new talent opportunities, enhance employee connections, and develop rotation programs in order to drive engagement across TWDC. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Finance Engagement, the role will contribute to a wide range of people-enabled initiatives that will help us move towards the Future of Finance at Disney.

What You Will Do

Mentor Program Planning and Program Support

  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for Finance, Tech, Strategy, and Insights Mentor Program (~2,000 participants)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to engage participants, seeking continuous improvement

  • Manage Mentor Program events, from concept through execution, ensuring all events support strategic goals of the program

  • Identify / support the development of course content for mentor program participants related to mentoring, personal and professional development

  • Perform tactical analyses on program data, identifying strengths and potential risks, and providing strategic insights on how best to improve the program

  • Prepare and distribute mentor program marketing emails, newsletters & other communications, and manage participant distribution lists

Training and Development Specialist

  • Assist with the programmatic aspects of the Accounting & Finance Rotation Program (AFRP), including providing orientation for incoming analysts, organizing monthly professional development speakers and content, collecting end-of-rotation performance feedback, and planning in-person events

  • Plan and facilitate career counseling as well as technical & soft skill training sessions for Enterprise Financial Services (EFS) organization

  • Partner with campus recruitment and talent acquisition to provide comprehensive recruiting services for the AFRP by identifying top talent from targeted schools, developing strong relationships with faculty and students, screening applicants, all while championing the Disney brand

  • Manage and maintain resources for the EFS website including onboarding, career development guide, newsletters, and other communications

  • Populate internal D Learn website with relevant material and content

  • Partner closely with other Finance Engagement efforts and provide support where needed, including the Finance Data & Analytics Academy, Career Aspiration Discussion Program, DE&I initiatives, and other Finance Engagement priorities

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, L&D, recruitment, or project management

  • Demonstrated experience in leading project work

  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively and professionally interface with high-level executives, clients, business associates, and employees

  • A self-starter – Ability to anticipate issues and proactively problem solve using sound judgment with demonstrated ability to make real-time strategic decisions

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, especially in a dynamic environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Disney businesses, policies, and procedures

  • Experience with marketing/comms platforms such as WordPress, SharePoint, Confluence, and Adobe Dreamweaver

  • Familiarity with SAP, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, R, Workday

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, Finance, or related degree


The hiring range for this position in Glendale is $77,900.00-$95,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
