PRIMARY PURPOSE:
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and visionary AVP, Creative to join our in-house agency team who will be instrumental in evolving and executing against an omni-channel approach to design and content. The ideal candidate will have both creative agency and in-house experience, strong leadership, organizational and team management skills, with a proven track record in strategically overseeing the design and roll-out of brand assets across print, digital, social and other media to elevate our brand presence across all platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker who can inspire and guide a team of creatives to produce high-quality, cohesive branding, both in-center and online, while ensuring internal processes and workflows are efficient and responsive to business needs.
The candidate should be a thoughtful leader who has experience managing creatives and designers (both digital and traditional) and is expected to contribute new and innovative ideas on a consistent basis to the team. Candidate should have a strong understanding of all digital platforms, social media and storytelling in new media formats.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive creative strategies that align with the company’s goals and enhance brand identity.
  • Provide creative leadership and art direction for in-house omnichannel campaigns that are driven by a set of strategic business goals.
  • Lead and manage a set of designers (in-house and freelance) on the creative team, providing direction, mentorship, and support and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative thinking while ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the development and execution of brand assets, including print, digital, social media, and other marketing materials, ensuring internal processes are in place to maximize workflows.
  • Build creative presentations and present/pitch campaigns to senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to align creative strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all creative outputs.
  • Develop and present creative concepts and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously elevate the quality of creative work.
  • Co-leads the development of brand DNA, digital style guidelines and visual standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of experience with strong background and proven record, with a focus in Digital-first design.
  • B.A. Degree in Design or comparable required.
  • Outstanding leadership, time management, delegation and managerial skills
  • Knowledgeable of photographers / directors / stylists / across still life, beauty, fashion.
  • Robust agency and client experience, having worked with well-known brands and delivering compelling storytelling through integrated marketing strategies.
  • Agency or Brand Experience required.
  • Innovative-Willingness to experiment with new concepts and approaches. Comes up with creative solutions to difficult problems. Ability to source new vendors, technology, and platforms.
  • Needs to thrive in a fast-paced environment, oversee multiple projects, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams.
  • Strong communication –Clearly communicates expectations. Can relate to a range of people spanning business to creative to technical discipline.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Has a robust portfolio of work that showcases exceptional skills in typography, layout design, video production, and social media campaign.
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $198,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon various factors, including an individual’s skills, experience and qualifications and the geographic location of the job. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at the top end of the pay range.
