Production Services Specialist *Remote*

The Role

The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, accuracy in their daily duties, excellent customer service and a commitment to the ongoing success of this organization, which involves a high level of adaptability in today’s environment. Strong Computer and Technical skill a must. An understanding of the Newspaper publishing industry preferred. Mon-Sun, day and evening-shifts required (typically no later than 1:30 am). D aily duties to include but not limited to: Order Entry, Layout, Pagination, Output of Pages and Post Press duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops higher level of system knowledge within Production Services.
• Coordinates with News, Advertising and Marketing, ad orders, layouts and other pre/post press related issues.
• Provides support to their teamates and other departments.
• Participates in daily team meetings, company meetings/forums and training sessions within Production Services.
• Reports any potential order entry, layout,pagination or output concerns to appropriate parties.
• Builds strong working relationships with all internal and external customers.
• Supports various areas of work spread through Production Services.
• Serves Advertising, News, Marketing Finance, Operations and various vendors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

• High School equivalent
• Preferred candidate will have previous Newspaper publishing experience.
• 5 or more years preferred.
