A day in the life…
As a Facilities and Operations (F&O) intern, you have the opportunity to be part of the team which is responsible for the management of all “in-house” logistics, facilities support and operations for Florida Imagineering campuses. The scope of this work encompasses all space planning, design and integration of project-specific workspaces, facility construction, IT and telecom support. The role will need to adapt to the evolving needs of a world-class design company. You will have the opportunity to:
- Assist with project oversight from conceptual design through construction multiple facilities projects
- Act as a representative of F&O through various project team meetings
- Develop program documentation (writing and defining scope, estimates, and schedules)
- Communicate and coordinate workflow between owner/operator/contractor for WDI
- Assist in problem solving and conflict resolution on projects while elevating appropriate issues to a leader
- Assist with providing administrative direction to maintain project costs within budget
- Ensure conformance to all divisional standards and procedures
- Plan and coordinate smaller scale office modifications and tenant improvements
What we are looking for…
- Ability to review and interpret working drawings, specifications, and other construction documents
- A positive attitude and willing to learn
- Ability to problem solve issues to resolution while managing complexity and conflict
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Valid US Driver's License
Required Education
- Currently enrolled as a junior or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months, from an accredited college/university, earning a degree.
Internship Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability
- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 through May/June 2024
