You will be a senior leader part of the Marketing team that brings together branding, product marketing, digital experience, content experts helping articulate Resilience’s mission, values, and solutions. Given we are a high-growth mid-stage startup without big company silos, you have to be comfortable working with staff of all levels, executive to intern, and participating in all our broader marketing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Help us strategically shape and build this new category at the intersection of multiple sectors and multiple audiences with brilliant ideas and storytelling.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a strategic communications plan including PR announcements, editorials, and press pitches, social media across Resilience’s main audiences in insurance and cybersecurity.
  • Create and manage our content strategy and calendar to engage prospects, broker partners, and market leaders across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Identify, write, and edit editorial content and press requests that engage our audience segments and lead to measurable action across our channels.
  • Manage our PR agency partners in the US and UK / Europe day-to-day to drive measurable results.
  • Work with our senior leaders (influencers) to build their profiles as thought leaders by identifying speaking, award, social, and interview opportunities.
  • Act as chief spokesperson for press, blogs, events, webinars, and editorial content where relevant.
  • Travel for events, off sites, and meetings as required (up to 20% anticipated).
  • Track and measure data on the level of engagement of our PR activities to understand and enhance its impact to our business.
  • Build relationships and brief members of the press and industry thought leaders on Resilience's solution and accomplishments.
  • Ideate and develop creative ideas for pitching to members of the press, industry and broader market leaders.
  • Work with our company’s product managers, product marketers, sales, and senior executives to develop high-level messaging, talking points, press releases, blogs, speeches, and webinars that generate results.
  • Become obsessed with audiences—how they think and what will change their minds. Study them so that you can write for them. Do the hard work so they don’t have to.
  • Support a fast-moving team with strong written content and a bias toward execution.
  • Continually seek creative opportunities to push our brand story and personality through paid, owned, and earned channels.


Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience as a communications professional, including significant experience in the cybersecurity, cyber insurance, cyber risk, or cyber policy spaces.
  • Proven experience engaging directly with members of the press and customers, through a variety of mediums
  • You have a highly collaborative style and experience developing and implementing communications strategies that are flexible enough to adapt to changing startup requirements.
  • You have excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills with comfort speaking to a large audience online or in-person.
  • You have a strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
  • You have high energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels
  • You bring a sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters
  • You are eager to brainstorm and create new content ideas to grow brand awareness through compelling communications campaigns.
  • You are comfortable working independently in a hybrid work environment, managing a team of PR contractors and content requests from Marketing and other departments.
  • You have an ability to independently research and quickly understand unfamiliar topics, issues, and technical concepts.
  • You have meticulous attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree; or applicable work experience.
  • Examples of earned media, thought leadership, on camera work, or written editorials are required.
