Job Summary/Description:

Join our team as a Marketing & Events Coordinator and dive into the dynamic world of digital marketing, broadcast television, and community engagement! This high-energy position is perfect for someone with meticulous attention to detail, organization, self-starting, and a passion for creativity and content development. You’ll play a key role in supporting our sales management team, taking on various tasks as needed while maintaining strong community relationships. Your responsibilities will span sales support in various projects, creating collateral for sales and station initiatives, promoting the station through social media/digital/television platforms, scheduling, event planning and attending, and collaboration with multiple teams across the company.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Sales Team Support: Provide ongoing support to the sales team by assisting with the development of presentations, proposals, and marketing materials for client projects.
Content Development & Campaigns: Create compelling digital, broadcast, and social media marketing campaigns to promote station initiatives, client partnerships, and community events.
Event Coordination: Plan, organize, attend, and execute promotional events, from conception through to completion, ensuring smooth operations and impactful engagement.
Digital Marketing: Work closely with the sales and promotions teams to execute digital strategies, manage social media content, and optimize campaign performance.
Community Engagement: Foster new and existing relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to promote station partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. Serve as the station’s primary representative at community events.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other departments, including sales, production, and creative teams, to deliver cohesive marketing and brand initiatives.
Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends in digital media, broadcast marketing, and event management to continually enhance your skill set.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Event planning experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media tools.
  • Enthusiastic, coachable, and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to adapt, learn, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
