Editorial Intern

Internship Hours/Dates: TBD; 10-12 hours per week 

Location: Santa Monica, CA; Onsite

Compensation: Unpaid; School Credit Only

What began as a one-man operation has grown into a dynamic post-production studio of over forty talented producers, editors, writers, and graphic designers. At Mark Woollen & Associates, we specialize in crafting powerful trailers and marketing campaigns for film and television, ranging from acclaimed independent films to the biggest blockbusters of the year. Every member of our team brings a unique creative voice, and together, we thrive on turning storytelling into standout promotional content.

Our mission is to nurture creative talent by offering opportunities to collaborate with passionate professionals on projects that make an impact in the entertainment industry.

We’re currently seeking an Editorial Intern for the Summer Semester. This is a hands-on opportunity to cut your own trailers and receive direct mentorship and feedback from our team of Editors, Producers, and Creative Directors. Interns will also have the chance to shadow Editors and gain firsthand insight into the process of building a trailer from concept to final cut. Our editorial workflow is built around Avid Media Composer, which will be the primary editing platform used.

All experience levels are encouraged to apply—we’re looking for creativity, passion, and a love of great storytelling.

Description

• Candidates should be ambitious, team players, have strong communication skills, and have an interest in the trailer-making business.
• This internship is unpaid. Applicants must currently be enrolled as a university/college student and eligible to receive course credit.
• Interns will be required to commute to office as internship will be conducted in-person
• Hours and days will be determined based on the students’ schedules.
