Chicago Sky Manager, Partnership Marketing
The Chicago Sky are looking for a strategic, innovative, collaborative, proactive, and results-driven full-time Manager, Partnership Marketing to lead, manage, and develop strategic ideas and manage marketing content to advance key partnerships for the Chicago Sky. With increased sponsorship investment in the Chicago Sky, this is a critical position to align and integrate Chicago Sky marketing objectives with corporate partner brand objectives. This candidate should be passionate about women's sports, championing equality, and generating breakthrough strategies and creative ideas to drive results. Responsibilities
- Project manage key strategic partner marketing and digital activations to help bring sponsorship agreements to life, develop revenue driving ideas, support content development, and ensure flawless execution.
- Partner closely with the Sponsorship team to understand and manage all key deliverables and timelines throughout the season. In the offseason, responsibilities will shift to new idea generation.
- Partner with Tickets, Sponsorship, Sky Cares, In-House content team, agencies, and partners to deliver fully integrated programs, manage timelines, and execute against key stakeholder needs
- Develop overarching breakthrough sponsor-driven social media, storytelling, and content strategies to align with brand objectives to drive Sky awareness and fan engagement and support specific sponsor brand goals.
- Develop new processes, ways of working, and project management tools to drive efficient and effective management to integrate sponsored programs across the content team
- Support ticket sales with marketing content ideas
- Identify new sponsored assets and inventory, assist with marketing presentations, and identify new potential targets to support new business development.
- Participate in sponsorship meetings to develop and execute key programs.
- Manage key partner activations with external fan engagement partners (e.g. premium tiered experiences, digital and in-arena fan contests, new capabilities).
- Identify and lead new culture-driven corporate and community partnerships across key verticals (e.g. music, art, entertainment, merch design, etc.)
- Lead Chicago Sky sponsored fan fest and event activation strategies and execution
- Manage and lead digital content producers and graphic designers
- Create monthly reports to track and measure results
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of marketing, digital marketing, partner marketing, digital storytelling, social media
- Agency experience balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders is preferred
- Evidence of strong creativity, innovation, storytelling and idea generation
- Experience managing creatives, with an understanding of photo/video production and graphic design
- Digital Video production, Photography, and editing experience preferred
- College degree in marketing, strategy, economics, communications, and/or sports marketing
- Passionate about sports marketing, with an interest in women's sports and the WNBA
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Great communicator who enjoys presenting to and interacting with key stakeholders
- Energetic, proactive self-starter who always takes the initiative and is comfortable working in a fast paced environment, with and without direct supervision
- Strong writing, editing, design, and proofreading skills
- Hybrid role: 2+ days/week expected in office, with attendance at all 20 home games and some weekends/evenings. https://sky.wnba.com/schedule
