Job Description
Our client, a Video Game Studio, is seeking a 3D Environment Artist to join its team!
Responsibilities:
- Build 3D assets ranging from hard surface structures to organic foliage
- Strong experience working with modeling, sculpting and texturing programs such as Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop
- Interpret and push concept designs to the next level while taking into account technical and design constraints such as draw calls, poly counts, texture memory limits, and gameplay boundaries
- Communicate with various other disciplines to ensure all assets meet gameplay requirements, support partner disciplines, and are performant
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience working in environment art
- 5+ years of professional experience working in Maya
- Experience working with various game engines from licensed to proprietary (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
- Strong examples of First Person environment gameplay spaces in shipped AAA titles
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience shipping at least one game title
