Role: Head of Copy
Location: USA, Remote
About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Copy for one of our technology clients. This role requires a visionary leader who can seamlessly blend creativity with data-driven insights to craft compelling narratives that resonate with B2B audiences, working in close collaboration with our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editorial and marketing content, and a deep understanding of technical and B2B landscapes. Additionally, familiarity with areas such as government affairs, philanthropy, and societal impact will be highly valued. This individual will collaborate closely with various teams, including our clients, to drive the creation of impactful and optimized content.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the team to create powerful and impactful work, ensuring the best quality output is delivered on time and meets the brief. Develop copy and provide proofreading for strategic projects to enhance the quality of our deliverables.
- Ensure that content output aligns with the briefs set by clients, champion the tone of voice and ensure it is delivered consistently and appropriately across all channels. Collaborate with the marketing, social and client teams to ensure brand strategy alignment.
- Lead and mentor a team of copywriters, ensuring the work is to a high standard. Support, develop, and guide copywriters, evaluating and suggesting changes to their work.
- Work on ideation tasks with Art Directors and Head of Art.
- Support the operations team with regards to timelines, project approach, and writer allocation.
- Engage daily with marketing and social media team members to bring listening learnings to copy creation.
What you need to be great in this role:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in digital – including social, print, long-form copy (ebooks, infographics), presentations, motion graphics, web design, SEO, blog, among others.
- Extensive experience working creatively on marketing communications in a fast-paced company or leading agency.
- Demonstrable experience in successfully leading a creative function, managing both copy and design teams.
- Public affairs, societal impact, and/or B2B knowledge desired.
- Any level of Spanish/Portuguese is desired, but not mandatory.
- An excellent team player - collaborative and adept at building relationships internally and with stakeholders at all levels.
- Non-ego collaboration mindset is a must; there's no tolerance for racism, sexism, or any form of prejudice.
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $110,500.00 to $123,500.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER's total compensation package.
