Assistant Professor of Visual and Media Arts (Film and Video Production)

Summary: The Department of Visual and Media Arts seeks an assistant professor, full time, 9-month, tenure-track, specializing in film and video production, to begin August 6, 2025. Applicants are expected to have an MFA or PhD in film/video production or related field of study.

Responsibilities: Duties each semester include a 9-credit hour teaching load, baseline scholarship and service, advising and mentoring students, and a significant focus (equivalent to 3 credit hours) of additional responsibilities in teaching, scholarship, and/or service depending on the candidate's interests and the department’s needs. The successful candidate will teach film and video production courses, among others. Candidate must demonstrate commitment to interdisciplinary and collaborative outreach, collegiality, and liberal education.

Minimum Starting Salary: $67,000; commensurate with experience.
