Job description

Blumhouse is looking for a driven, innovative, and experienced VP of Marketing to join the Games team and work closely with the Director of Marketing on guidance and execution. The ideal candidate brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity in the digital video game space – with bonus points awarded for a deep love of the horror genre. In this role, you will be driving strategy and execution of marketing plans for the division’s slate of multiple game releases per year. You will coordinate with external agencies to bring ideas to action and ensure projects are aligned on messaging, quality, and brand. You will partner with Blumhouse Marketing for brand alignment and cross-promotion opportunities. Additionally, this role will have the unique opportunity to spearhead relationship- and community-building directly with Blumhouse games fans. This role reports directly to the President of Games.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing plans and establish KPIs for marketing campaigns across the gaming portfolio
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure campaigns are well executed, timely and up to brand standards.
  • Track and evaluate campaign performance, uncover key trends, and deliver actionable insights to optimize KPIs and enhance future campaign strategies
  • Identify strategic product and brand opportunities for social channel expansion
  • Stay current with industry trends, new digital formats, and emerging technologies
  • Lead both product and brand community efforts with our external partners 
  • Craft direct to consumer strategy using games as an entry point for Blumhouse fans across all media
  • Assist with product showcases and events

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product marketing experience in the video game industry
  • Experience working with and directing creative media agencies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and partnership skills
  • Well-developed sense for what makes compelling creative content
  • Well-rounded knowledge of game industry marketing, social media and community trends
  • Familiarity with console, PC, and/or mobile digital platform storefronts
  • Experience building and maintaining strong communities around product and brand 
  • Experience with direct to consumer relationship building
  • Skilled with maximizing budget for impact 
  • "Outside the box” mentality 
  • Low ego
