This role is part of the Income Tax group within Tax Operations. Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist in the preparation of the company’s state income tax returns for all worldwide business units
  • Collect and analyze data, perform computations, and prepare work papers for tax returns and tax provisions
  • Preparing state income tax estimates, extensions, and returns for a diverse group of corporations conducting multi-national operations
  • Collaborate with company tax, business, and accounting personnel to acquire data needed for tax compliance.
  • Research income tax compliance-related issues
  • Propose and implement process improvements and draft user manuals for the department to outline Standard Operating Guidelines.
  • Analyze and prepare responses to state notices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Process Improvement mindset (Tech Savvy)
  • Intermediate Excel experience (advanced Excel is a plus)
  • Ability to multi-task/time management skills
  • Adaptable to change
  • Ease of working in a highly collaborative work environment
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Currently pursuing (or recently graduated within 6 months) a Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Analytics or other related major OR
  • Recently graduated (within 6 months) with a Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Analytics or other related major OR
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Analytics, or other related major within one year of graduation.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Program Details:

  • Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from February through August 2025.
  • Required Materials: Resumes and transcripts must be uploaded during the online application.
  • Housing: A limited number of housing units are available for Florida-based participants. Once they have accepted an internship offer, interns can sign up for housing.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of their internship program.

Program Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members, this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members, this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record, clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
