Disney Advertising is responsible for advertising sales and integrated marketing for The Walt Disney Company’s entertainment and sports offerings through linear, digital, social, audio and ad-supported streaming businesses. This includes ABC, ABC News, Disney+, Disney Channels Worldwide, Disney Digital, ESPN Networks, ESPN+, Freeform, FX, National Geographic, Hulu, and its eight ABC-owned local stations.

Sales Communications crafts creative, persuasive, innovative stories and experiences that help drive revenue on behalf of Disney Advertising and across the entire Disney portfolio. The team provides strategic, creative front-end sales support, in delivering client solutions, rooted in visual storytelling. Collectively, we develop designs and produces content, assets and activations that bring the Disney portfolio to life, with a focus on engaging, meaningful narratives that break-through in the marketplace.  

As part of Sales Communications, Client Communications creates and implements personalized narratives meant to elevate and break through based on account priorities, attributes, and needs for our advertising and agency clients.

Job Summary:

Reporting into the Manager, Client Communications, the Coordinator, Client Communications role will be responsible for assisting client-specific communication strategies for various categories through effective and elevated account-based storytelling.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Execute client-specific marcom projects, from sales pitch decks to partner recaps
  • Utilize various communication levers based on the best tool for the job, for example: visual presentations, slide-documents, videos, websites, collateral, premiums, email marketing, infographics, etc.
  • Support Client Communications team with various client-related communications resources
  • Assist in and/or present projects internally, as needed
  • Attend and participate in internal meetings, as needed
  • Work with internal and external vendors, such as graphic designers and web developers, to help bring projects to life, as needed

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • 1+ years of experience in related fields (sales support, marketing, advertising, communications)
  • Expertise in storytelling, marketing and positioning work with an ability to tell insights-based stories through insights led visual design in asset and presentation creation
  • Present various visual concepts and ideas in an organized, effective and thoughtful way.
  • Represent best in class IP, adhering to guidelines and leveraging companywide assets, ensuring brand consistency across a large portfolio of various presentations and materials.
  • Understanding of current technology trends and how they influence the user experience with an eye towards progressive solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of the advertising industry and the ability to stay abreast of its development, especially within the Entertainment space
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, PowerPoint

The hiring range for this position in New York is $53,600 -$73,700 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
