The Coordinator, Licensing Toys is responsible for the coordination and administration of assigned accounts and categories, ensuring that Disney's toy licensing business operates efficiently and profitably. This role helps detect business opportunities, optimize operations, and enhance revenue growth.
This position plays a crucial part in maximizing sales, strengthening relationships with licensees, and driving product success in the market. Through strategic marketing, forecasting, and product development oversight, the Toys Coordinator ensures that Disney's toys category remains competitive and aligned with consumer demand.
The Coordinator, Licensing Toys will be responsible for:
1. Business Growth & Category Success
- Supporting the toys category strategy and ensuring it aligns with Disney’s business objectives and goals.
- Identifying new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity.
- Driving financial performance, ensuring revenue targets and growth objectives are met.
2. Financial & Analytical Responsibilities
- Tracking and analyzing sales performance of licensed toy products across different retail channels.
- Contributing to financial planning by helping forecast revenue and monitoring licensing deals.
- Ensuring licensees adhere to financial agreements, including royalty payments and sales targets.
3. Licensee & Partner Management
- Supporting licensees by providing them with relevant product and marketing insights.
- Monitoring contract compliance, ensuring licensees follow Disney’s brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Helping negotiate license renewals and new contracts, maintaining strong relationships with partners.
4. Product & Market Execution
- Coordinating with internal teams (franchise, creative, retail, and marketing) to ensure product launches are successful.
- Ensuring product innovation, working with licensees to develop new toy lines that align with Disney's storytelling.
- Monitoring market trends to anticipate shifts in consumer behavior and adapt product strategies accordingly.
5. Operational & Strategic Support
- Managing day-to-day operations related to the toys category.
- Assisting with marketing campaigns, retail activations, and promotional strategies to boost sales.
- Keeping track of inventory levels, retail execution, and product placement in stores.
What we need from you to be part of this story:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, International Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in licensing, consumer products, brand management, or retail within the toys, entertainment, or FMCG industries.
- Preferred Industries: Experience working with licensees, distributors, or retail partners is a plus.
- Advanced level of English is required.
- Ability to analyze sales data, manage forecasts, and support financial planning.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Conduct sales forecasting follow-ups with licensees to optimize market performance.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation building).
- Knowledge of licensing contracts, royalties, and financial agreements.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Passion for Disney brands, entertainment, and storytelling is a plus.
