Entertainment-focused, award-winning, and NYC-based creative agency is looking for a hands-on, multi-disciplinary Associate Creative Director to join our team on a freelance-to-FT basis. The role leans heavily into the mastery of motion design.


This individual will be involved with, and oversee all phases of the design process from defining the conceptual and stylistic direction for campaigns, to hands-on execution and guidance of designers. 


They'll be responsible for overseeing, directing, and producing social content for all platforms, assisting on pitch deck concepts and mocks, and scoping the complexity of executions. This role occasionally crosses over into other visual / design disciplines.. Experience on major social creative campaigns is essential.


This role is a fit for someone who's constantly creative, passionate about design and emerging technology, has strong communication skills, exhibits great attention to detail, easily builds rapport with others, and excels at managing and motivating team members. A deep understanding of production processes is also required as is team leadership. 


Clients are primarily the major TV nets, streaming platforms, and film studios.



Requirements:

  • A killer portfolio showcasing great animation, typography, and design skills
  • 10+ years experience working as an art director, 3+ years directing a team
  • Ability to successfully manage shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and last-minute client requests
  • Mastery of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Knowledge / experience with major AE plug-ins is essential.
  • Must be able to spearhead creative direction, work on multiple fast-paced projects, and maintain order within files and deliverables
  • Work closely with account team and ECD to prioritize workloads and manage deliverable workflow
  • Provide quality control on all approved / completed creative to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Ensure best practices within team for an organized and efficient workflow between account, design and production
  • Relevant experience with social content across all social media platforms 
  • Willingness to learn about and utilize emerging technologies
