Summary
The Assistant Manager, Editorial crafts and manages the brand's tone of voice and copy across all consumer touchpoints, ensuring high-impact and on-brand communications. Focus on product naming, packaging, visual merchandising, in-store displays, social media content, video scripts, online assets, influencer mailers, and all other 360 go-to-market assets. Center the Smashbox consumer and landscape, consider feedback, insights, and trends while consistently supporting brand integrity and equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate conceptual product and campaign copy into succinct consumer-facing messaging and execute across all go-to-market strategy by working with PD and Commercial for product and market insights and best practices.
- Write engaging and high-impact organic and performance copy for channels including but not limited to .com, social, product, point of sale, video, and OOH by remaining
- Participate in ideation and execution of an impactful 360 go-to-market campaign by working with the Digital Marketing and Commercial teams, actively participating in Creative briefings and the briefing process.
- Collaborate on all aspects of content production including concepting, storyboarding, casting, identifying and working with creators, directors, videographers, animators, editors, and producers.
- Edit, copyedit, and proofread all copy to professional standards (that fit our brand voice) by remaining in close , timely collaboration with other departments.
- Take a holistic, storytelling approach to copy for all assets for every step of the consumer journey, from mailers and events to social posts and retailer brand pages.
- Work cross functionally to get all copy approved by Legal, Product Development, Trademark, and Commercial teams.
- Provide guidance and set direction for online and regional adaptations while understanding need for local nuance.

Qualifications
- BA or BFA
- 4+ years of related work experience
- Strong understanding of social media language, trends, and best practices
- Knowledge of contemporary culture and fashion trends
- Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office, Keynote
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple writing and conceptual projects simultaneously with limited direction
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under extremely tight turnaround deadlines
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Agility to pivot, adapt to tight timelines, and remain comfortable with ambiguity
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,150.00 to $109,200.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
