We're hiring a Staff Accountant!
About the role:
As the Staff Accountant, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a close-knit finance team of four, helping with our daily treasury, finance, and accounting operations. This role is essential during the month and quarter-end close processes, where you'll be involved in everything from documenting and preparing journal entries to conducting reconciliations and account variance analysis. You'll report directly to the VP of Finance & Controller, making a meaningful contribution to our team's success! This role is based in our Los Angeles office and offers a hybrid work environment.
Your Day-to-Day:

- Prepare and record journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance.

- Assist in the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Data entry and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, payments, and expenses.

- Maintain and update accounting reconciliations and rollforwards on an ongoing basis, and book respective reclasses and accruals for quarter close.

- Provide support for audit as requested.

- Other ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

Compensation:
Our target monthly pay range for this role in California is $70,000 - $80,000, indicating the base annual salary for full-time positions. Actual salaries may vary based on location, experience, education, skills, specialization, budget constraints, and local market conditions.

We spend three days a week working from the office. These intentional in-person days allow us to fully embrace the benefits of collaboration. The remaining days of the week are yours to decide where to work, allowing for a seamless blend of work and personal life.

Requirements
You Should Have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting. CPA or MBA progress preferred.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the entertainment industry or in a related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and use of Excel formulas
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Experience with ERP accounting software (we use Sage Intacct)
