What You Will Do:
As part of our team, the magic of storytelling begins with you. As a Content Production Intern, you’ll have the ability to bring concepts to reality in everything you touch from videos to photography, you’ll be part of supporting the team in developing innovative, creative solutions to attract the future talent of The Walt Disney Company. You’ll make an impact through your transmedia storytelling passion and skills, digital media experience and background in your field of study communicating to a diverse audience through various visual mediums.
On any given day you might:
- Support Content Producers as you all act as a consultative partner– from intake to delivery
- Work in partnership, and with the guidance of Content Producers, with internal partners, agency/vendors & stakeholders in the development of multimedia content to support various channels or campaigns, including a comprehensive plan for optimal forms of media
- Work with leader on detailed project timelines & production schedules to support content collection initiatives while ensuring a balanced project prioritization
- Partner with Designers to conceptualize /storyboard content and direct content collection shoots (video/photo); scout, select and reserve shoot locations
- Record and edit video including all pre-production and post-production needs, under the direction and guidance of leadership, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- The ability to provide support in pre-production/planning, in field production, lighting, audio, storyboarding /conceptualizing and photography, with the guidance of leader
- Experience, real world and/or school, in editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere, as well as using digital (DSLR) cameras and audio
- Are passionate and knowledgeable about the digital media environment including top performing content for social media channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
- Ability to act as an influencer who is adept at establishing both external and internal relationships
- Enthusiasm, an eager approach to learning, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Experienced in Digital Media, Film or industry equivalent
- Proven knowledge of recruitment marketing or recruitment advertising industry practices
- Passionate about developing new ideas, designing solutions, and strategically helping the team grow
Education:
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in digital media, film, or closely related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
- A link to your digital portfolio is required for full consideration
- Fully available for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
- Provide your own housing and transportation in the Orlando, FL or Los Angeles, CA area
- Please note: You will work remotely a majority of the time, with occasional onsite work required
The pay rate for this role in Florida or California is $22.00 per hour.
