The EA Marketing Analytics team is looking for an analytics professional to take on the role of Lead Analyst in Vancouver, British Columbia or Austin, TX, reporting to the Manager for Marketing Analytics. We are looking for someone who can take our analytics to a new level by digging into diverse data sets relating to our marketing campaigns, applying leading-edge data analytics techniques, extracting insights, creating data visualizations and communicating recommendations to our marketing partners in ways that create clarity, guide action, and bring impact. Responsibilities:

Lead conversations with senior leaders, provide structured thinking and analytical recommendations with the right level of details -
Work closely with marketing partners to understand their needs and deliver data analysis to support decision-making that leads to improved marketing performance, ultimately becoming a trusted advisor

Take initiative, find opportunities to make business impact, and drive for strategic change within the business

Approach analyses with minimal guidance and have structured, strategic thinking to design a plan before digging into data

Select, process, and explore data from an array of internal and third-party data sources for marketing channels such as video, social media, websites, email, and more to find the signal in the noise

Create presentations with crisp data visualizations to tell compelling data stories to partners and influence the business. Distill quantitative insights into easy to digest and intuitive presentation form

Provide advice to other analysts to help them improve analyses and provide effective feedback

Collaborate across a global network of colleagues, with teamwork as a priority

Manage multiple projects involving complex data collection, analysis and application
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field or economics. Advanced degrees preferred -
5+ years relevant hands-on analytical experience, with ability to manage the analytical process and translate findings from the data into recommendations for our partners

Experience with stakeholder management, especially with senior leadership

Knowledge-of and practical experience with statistics, probability, and hypothesis testing

Strong SQL skills including experience querying complex datasets from a variety of multiple sources

Proficiency in R statistical programming (or equivalent) to explore diverse data sets and create descriptive and predictive models using methods like correlation analysis, regression modeling, cluster analysis

Able to operationalize abstract questions into a quantitative investigation and tackle them in a data-driven manner

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Strong communication skills - regular project updates, communication with and across teams, and analytical “storytelling”

You have the enthusiasm and motivation to challenge thinking and promote meaningful change
You view challenges as opportunities and enjoy solving problems and removing obstacles
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $115,100 - $161,200 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
