Sr. Hulu Strategic Operations Manager

As the Sr. Hulu Strategic Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving Hulu's strategic initiatives, working with the Director, Strategic Operations and the General Manager of Hulu to align cross-functional teams in executing the company's business objectives and providing strategic leadership and executional support on special projects in service of internal stakeholder management and day-to-day affairs involved in running Hulu’s business. In a rapidly evolving corporate infrastructure the Sr. Hulu Strategic Operations Manager will also play a vital role in developing and refining operational frameworks with an eye on Hulu-specific needs within the Disney (Streaming) ecosystem and serves as liaison to help establish more efficient ways of working between teams within and outside of DTC.
This role requires a high degree of strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, a strong sense of accountability and ability to provide operational oversight, ensuring the GM's priorities are translated into actionable plans across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in management consulting, or experience working in a strategy or business planning role within the media & entertainment and/or direct-to-consumer industry, loves to solve problems and is intellectually curious.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Insights, Advisory and Decision Support
- Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the GM on strategic and operational matters, enabling business intelligence and facilitating decision-making
- Synthesize complex data and industry trends into actionable insights
- Work with the Director, Strategic Operations to structure complex and potentially ambiguous ad hoc operational/business issues and lead the build of analytical models to develop insightful recommendations
- Prioritize and distill critical information, following up with stakeholders and representing the GM’s priorities across initiatives
- Support the GM in evaluating and managing emerging business opportunities, including partnerships and new market strategies
- Collaborate with leaders across the company to identify and pursue white space opportunities and problem-solve initiatives to help advance the business reach its goals and financial targets
- Work closely with Hulu and DTC teams to manage the execution of high priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives ensuring the Hulu POV is represented; help establish and track key results
- Stakeholder and Cross-functional Alignment
- Drive alignment between Hulu’s leadership team and business units, ensuring open communication and efficient execution of the GM’s priorities
- Establish efficient cross-functional workflows, speed up decision-making by aiding communication, and cultivate a #oneteam culture
- Own and drive senior business meeting cadence and prepare for ad hoc executive meetings by

- Act as an operational leader, overseeing day-to-day GM-level priorities, resolving roadblocks, and coordinating with functional leads, in alignment with the Director, Strategic Operations
- Lead change management initiatives and optimize operational frameworks, addressing Hulu-specific needs within the DTC organization, in alignment with the Director, Strategic Operations’s priorities
- Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation, anticipating needs aligned with business goals
- Executive Communications
- Craft and develop high-quality executive presentations and materials, including for board-level meetings, investor discussions and strategic reviews
- Serve as a key contributor to the GM’s written and verbal communications, including thought leadership for internal or external appearances and strategic updates
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience with 3+ years of pre/post-graduate work experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank or related strategy team
- Proven experience working with executive leadership in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or similar high-impact role
- Strong understanding of the direct-to-consumer business model, digital media, and subscription-based services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated business acumen and success in delivering results in a cross-functional team setting
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, Advanced financial modeling capabilities (e.g., Excel) with the ability to translate data into insights
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with a track record of delivering on complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Undergraduate degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Experience working in technology or media & entertainment, particularly in subscription-based businesses or direct-to-consumer products
- Familiarity with Hulu's content, technology, and operational landscape

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $151,000.00-$202,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
