We are actively seeking a driven, creative candidate to fill the role of Director, Social Media Marketing Strategy to drive best-in-class organic social content across VS PINK socials. The candidate that will be successful in this role will have in-depth knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Spotify and other top Gen Z social media platforms, with an expert grasp on Gen Z culture. The primary duty of the Director, Social Media is brand development through social media to drive relevancy & reach, overseeing all aspects of PINK’s social media presence.


Working closely with the cross functional teams, this leader should be able to identify trends across the social space and understand how our brand can capitalize on them in authentic ways, real time. Responsible for creating a 360-degree social strategy and delivering on KPIs such as increased reach, engagement, and positive social sentiment – this role must be both creative and analytical with a strong operational mindset. Candidates should be highly skilled leading a team, forming and managing internal and external relationships, generating creative, out-of-the-box ideas, and excel at bringing the best out in others. This leader must present an entrepreneurial mindset and thrive in ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Create a comprehensive seasonal social media marketing strategy that ties back to brand campaigns & product launches, suitable for various social media platforms, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that defines the target audience, brand voice, content mix, posting frequence and distribution channels for each platform.
  • Oversee social media calendar that outlines themes, topics and formats of content to be published.
  • Conduct market research to identify social trends, opportunities and potential roadblocks in the broader landscape in partnership with consumer insights team.
  • Create an end-to-end community engagement strategy in partnership with the Customer Care Team.
  • Work closely with cross functional partners such as brand marketing, creative, copy, PR and paid media to fully integrate social into the brand strategic marketing plans.
  • Work closely with PR to optimize influencer & creator content mix and performance across social platforms.
  • Partner with external partners such as Meta and TikTok to stay close to technology enhancements and platform modifications.
  • Monitor and analyze metrics and feedback from campaigns to optimize real time.
  • Strong people leader skillset to lead a team of strategists.

Minimum Salary: $138,000.00
Maximum Salary: $195,825.00

VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns that achieved desired goals and KPIs.
  • Extensive understanding of different social media platforms, their algorithms, audiences and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and data driven mindset to report on performance and impact of social media campaigns.
  • Creative and innovative skillset to produce original and captivating content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Collaborative communication style to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Leadership and mentoring attitude to motivate and inspire a team.
  • 8-10+ Years experience in social media & brand marketing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills,
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field is preferred.
