Overview and Responsibilities:
The Audience Impact & Intelligence team (AI&I) are a specialized group of strategists and researchers who power advertising sales with audience-forward, culturally fluent insights for the ever-changing media ecosystem. We inspire our sales teams with deep audience understanding of strategic insights and data clout for their clients. AI&I is charged with making the consumer connection with Paramount's many varied audiences, across all platforms, by providing expertise in generational and life-stage segments. We specialize in studies, surveys, data sets and metrics that help internal and external clients further their knowledge of targets, engagement, consumerism, ad efficiency and culture.

Reporting to the Director of Market & Cultural Intelligence, this Senior Manager will primarily support the team with data and insights that inform marketplace intelligence, helping to tell need-to-know stories of big shifts across the advertising landscape, key categories, and consumer behavior. Day-to-day responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Support the Advertising Sales teams through the development of engaging, research-based insights stories to help contextualize the advertising marketplace, the media landscape, business developments across categories and cultural or seasonal topics
- Build compelling marketplace intelligence products and offerings to inform and support our sales teams
- Research and analyze applicable industry, advertising marketplace and cultural trends, as well as shifts in consumer behavior
- Analyze advertising spend data to uncover and quantify sales opportunities for sales teams
- Build compelling insight stories into actionable short-form and long-form content for internal and external use such as reports, whitepapers and presentations
- Develop and deliver presentations to both internal and external audiences (Sales teams, clients, etc.)
- Brainstorm and implement creative ways to approach research, innovative methodologies and compelling storytelling
- Manage the production or execution of materials affiliated with those insights stories, including qualitative and quantitative research, creative materials and videos, presentations, editorial writing and events
- Mentor and manage a Senior Analyst
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in research, business development, marketing strategy or account planning
- Proven experience with project management, handling vendor relationships, and delivering actionable, high-quality materials to a wide range of stakeholders
- A wizard in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint/Keynote, Excel, Outlook, and Google
Additional Qualifications:
- A strong interest in media and entertainment, business positioning, brand strategy, and culture, and the ability to think and write critically about how these elements interact
- Strong point of view on macrotrends and their impact to the advertising market
- Ability to work with data analysis and insights development
- Strong analytics background with quantitative experience a plus
- Skilled at bubbling up need-to-know insights from a variety of sources
- Passion for story telling through data
- Excellent communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative spirit to share and refine ideas
- A curious and resourceful approach, with a desire to analyze pertinent industry and consumer shifts proactively
- Excellent desk research skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $115,000.00 - 122,500.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
