Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Agency committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this agency, our Paid Media Team is focused on achieving growth by making data-driven decisions to create meaningful interactions with existing and potential customers. We are seeking an VP, Media Strategy and Planning to serve as a media planner across SEM, paid social and display/video (direct and programmatic). This role will lead digital media planning activities across the marketing ecosystem, ensuring optimal mix to deliver against business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop media and channel strategy for the Synchrony Brand Corporate Marketing Team and other enterprise teams aligning business objectives to best use of paid media channels to deliver business impact
Work collaboratively with platform owners and in-house agency partners to ensure optimal channel distribution, orchestration and performance
Utilize strong analytical ability to identify and build audience strategies, while evaluating end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
Actively make plan optimization recommendations as supported by channel lead performance and reporting
Proactively investigate media opportunities and craft well-supported, articulate POVs to present to stakeholders internally
Partner with channel teams to share ideas, communicate opportunities, and to identify and deliver new solutions for campaigns
Influence and align stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of digital marketing and digital media experience.
Experience in financial services, retail or healthcare industry
A minimum of 6 years of integrated digital marketing, media or analytic experience that includes (can be concurrent):
direct marketing experience using customer data analysis and segmentation
experience utilizing tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, or other performance tools to manage digital marketing metrics
experience with integrated paid media planning experience inclusive of ad words and display marketing, and paid social media in the health & wellness sector
client account management experience
3 years of full funnel media planning experience with an emphasis on upper funnel/awareness
Desired Characteristics:
Account/comms planning experience
Experience in financial services, retail or healthcare industry
3+ years of agency experience in a media strategy role
Strong understanding of technical requirements, including tracking pixels, data integrations, etc. as it applies to paid media capabilities
Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
Experience in direct response campaign execution
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
