We are on the lookout for a Creative Director (Design) to become an integral part of our dynamic and expanding graphic design team. This pivotal role calls for an individual who is committed to crafting compelling campaigns that captivate and engage internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate will find new ways to tell our story and propel the visual expression of our brand to the next level. They will create impactful digital experiences, social and video campaigns, and shape how our brand shows up at events. The role reports to the VP of design who leads the creative team and oversees all creative design executions within Moody’s.
- 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within a corporate and / or agency setting with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability in creative copywriting, with a strong talent for developing compelling taglines and effective messaging.
- Deep understanding of design principles, branding, and marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, balancing big-picture vision with attention to detail.
- Effective collaborator with various stakeholders, including agency partners, cross-functional teams, and executive leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Engage in close collaboration with the head of Video, Design and Editorial teams to leverage their expertise and insights.
- Develop and conceptualize the visual aspects of projects. This involves brainstorming and generating innovative ideas via storyboarding that capture the essence of the Moody’s brand and resonate with the target audience.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and creative teams to ensure that concepts adhere to the project's goals and vision.
- Maintain high standards of quality by reviewing and approving all visual materials before they are finalized, ensuring that they meet the project's requirements and adhere to brand guidelines. Attention to detail and a keen eye for design are essential.
- Advocates for groundbreaking innovations and efficiency enhancements through the utilization of AI (Artificial Intelligence).
- Be agile, adaptable, effectively managing multiple projects for various stakeholders.in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and have a definite point of view; be a problem-solver.
- Engages and champions for bold ideas in campaign ideation and conceptualization sessions, ensuring that the final output is a true reflection of the brand’s essence.

This role is a part of the larger Corporate Affairs Group responsible for Moody’s brand reputation across all touchpoints. We collaborate with all businesses and teams to develop and deliver content that tells the Moody's brand story.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $133,100- $192,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
