Salary: 75K to 80K DOE
Employment Status: Full-Time, EXEMPT / SALARY
Reports To: CREATIVE DIRECTOR
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and experienced Motion Designer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of motion graphics and animation, with a strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of artistic vision, professional experience, and a collaborative spirit to enhance our projects with high-quality animations and visual effects. Due to the nature of this role and the location of equipment, this position requires the candidate to be onsite a majority of the time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with display software to deliver assets to different digital touchpoints and devices throughout the museum
  • Work with creative teams to understand project scope and objectives.
  • Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for video projects
  • Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
  • Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the latest graphic design techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines, and design standards.
  • Champion the Museum of the Bible’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.
  • As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Animation, Film, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in motion design and animation
Abilities
  • Strong expertise in Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other visual effects software.
  • Demonstrable motion design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines, producing work of a suitable style.
  • Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design.
  • Must be able to mediate creative problems and communicate with clients and teammates to arrive at the best solution for each project.
  • Manage time effectively, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully, quality control is key.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stoop, stand, climb, and occasionally lift a minimum of 50 lbs. as required
  • Occasionally required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
