ABOUT US

Persistent is a literary-based management/production company representing a diverse array of talented writers and directors in both film and television. Founded earlier this year by Marc Manus, a former award-winning photojournalist who graduated from USC film school, our company boasts a rich history in artist representation. Marc's career began under the mentorship of manager Cathryn Jaymes, known for her work with Academy Award-winning writer/director Quentin Tarantino, among others. With two decades of experience in the industry, Marc has held positions at esteemed management companies such as Zero Gravity (known for Netflix's OZARK) and, most recently, World Builder Entertainment (responsible for DreamWorks Animation's TROLLS franchise) as a founding partner. At Persistent, Marc continues to nurture a select roster of creators, guiding them through their book, film, and television projects with major networks, streamers, and studios. His producing credits include JOSIE, starring Sophie Turner, and Netflix's horror-thriller DON'T MOVE, in collaboration with Sam Raimi (EVIL DEAD) and Hammerstone Studios (BARBARIAN).

THE ROLE

Interns at Persistent play a crucial role in script coverage, industry-related tracking, and research, among other tasks. Please note that this internship is remote and for school credit only. As part of our selection process, we conduct interviews and review sample script coverage. The internship will span the duration of the spring semester and include weekly 30-minute Zoom check-ins to discuss coverage and project assignments. (Though students based in LA can have some in-person opportunities, depending on schedules)
