  • 10+ years of media and entertainment technology related sales or business development experience

AWS is seeking a world class sales professional to manage and grow our relationship with one of the largest Media and Entertainment companies in the world. Of particular importance will be the pursuit of net-new customer engagement and incremental business opportunity across the full breadth of this customer’s global landscape. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage virtual resources to scale. You will define a CXO relationship strategy across the account and engage AWS senior leadership teams for executive sponsorship and alignment, advancing a strategic business partnership and maintaining a trusted advisor relationship at all levels of the customer organization.

Key job responsibilities
The Global Account Manager (GAM) is responsible for teaming with the customer’s Line-of-Business (LOB) and IT Organizations to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups. The GAM is responsible for selling at the most strategic levels within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. The GAM will work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests. This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed.

A priority for this role will be to enhance and expand direct Line-of-Business customer engagement. While partnership with IT and technology teams will remain core to the role, growth of net-new LOB business and the potential for LOB partnership will be a differentiating capability for this role. Development of formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting the success of these LOB activities and workloads running on AWS will also be core to the role.

  • A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas, SaaS, PaaS)
  • Experience managing large enterprise accounts within the Media and Entertainment industry
  • Familiarity with Media and Entertainment specific applications, workflows and partner ecosystem is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
