Position Summary

The NAACP Hollywood Bureau is seeking a talented and driven Preditor (Producer + Editor) to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in creating high-quality, impactful multimedia content that aligns with the NAACP's mission to promote equity, representation, and social justice in the entertainment industry.

As a Preditor (Producer + Editor), you will be responsible for managing the end-end creative production process, from concept, development to final delivery. You'll play a key role in storytelling, shaping narratives, and crafting visually compelling content for campaigns, events, digital platforms, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Production: Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit video and multimedia content for internal and external initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and messaging.
  • Creative Direction: Collaborate with the Creative Director and team to develop visually engaging, innovating concepts for digital campaigns, public service announcements, documentaries, and social media content. Additionally, this role supervises 3rd party vendors (i.e. Camera persons, Editors, Producers) on various productions associated with the National Convention, Image Awards and general NAACP+ content.
  • Editing: Handle post-production tasks, including video editing, sound design, color correction, and motion graphics, ensuring all deliverables are polished and professional.
  • Storytelling: Develop narratives that amplify Black voices and highlight issues of representation, diversity, and inclusion in the entertainment industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Operate professional-grade cameras, lighting equipment, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).
  • Social Media Integration: Create platform-specific content optimized for distribution across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
  • Event Support: Capture and produce live or recorded content from events, panel discussions, award shows, and press conferences.
  • Travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in video production and editing, preferably in entertainment, advocacy, or a mission-driven organization.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) and familiarity with other editing tools and equipment.
  • Creative Vision: Strong ability to conceptualize and execute compelling multimedia content, with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Storytelling: Proven experience in creating content that resonates emotionally and effectively conveys messages to diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Passion for Social Justice: Deep understanding of and commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the entertainment industry.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of and relationships within the Hollywood entertainment industry.
  • Experience working with non-profits or advocacy organizations.
  • Motion graphics, animation, or photography skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine and greenscreen virtual production are a plus.
