SPORTS ANCHOR/REPORTER

Our market is home to Southern Oregon University, Oregon Institute of Technology, University of Oregon, and Oregon State, as well as dozens of high schools with some of the best prep athletes in the state.

If you love outdoor activities, there's plenty to cover here. As a sports anchor/reporter, you'll write, edit, and present stories for our broadcast and digital platforms from the studio and live in the field. A reel that demonstrates your storytelling skills in these areas is important. A college degree in journalism or a related field is required.

KDRV is the market leader in Southern Oregon and has been #1 in local news for more than 25 years. We produce 36 hours of local television news per week and coverage on digital and social throughout the day. Our sports team is a big part of our commitment to strong local coverage with our Friday Night Blitz, RoundBall Wrap, and College Football GameNight broadcasts. We also produce and present a live, local high school Game of the Week broadcast during the football and basketball seasons.

Our station is in the beautiful Rogue Valley near the Southern Oregon Wine Trail. It is just a short drive away from great hiking, mountain biking, skiing, golfing, fishing, whitewater rafting, the Britt Festival under the stars, and the Tony award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival. If you still need an occasional big-city fix, Portland and San Francisco are just a quick, direct flight or a few hours' drive away.

Some additional requirements

• A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.
• Good driving record. Must possess or be able to obtain an Oregon driver's license.
