Position::
RPR is seeking a Business Development Associate to help build and shape the future of our company and its brand. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is an ambitious, sales-oriented, strategic professional. This role requires an individual who can combine a solid understanding of the PR industry with creative selling skills to forge deals with a wide variety of clients across various industry sectors. This position is an exciting opportunity for a rewarding career in business development.

*This is an in-office role Monday through Thursday at our Midtown Manhattan office. Fridays are remote.:

Responsibilities:
    • Interact with current and potential clients
    • Prepare and review consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and new business proposals and plans
    • Draft contract agreements for potential clients and billing memos
    • Revise all marketing materials, as appropriate, including quarterly clip books
    • Clearly articulate the special benefits and advantages that RPR’s services provide for clients
    • Create case studies for new business meetings
    • Prepare legal books for outside counsel and maintain correspondence
    • Work with the New Business Development Director to research new business leads
    • Research, identify, and generate additional business opportunities for RPR
    • Manage new business pipeline and consistently update its database
    • Develop and maintain target lead list each quarter
    • Schedule all new business meetings and support Vice President of New Business

Required Qualifications:
    • BS/BA in PR, marketing, business communications, or related field
    • 3+ years of new business development experience in the PR/marketing industry; PR agency experience especially preferred
    • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and high-level executives
    • Impeccable writing skills and excellent phone etiquette
    • Possess a professional and positive demeanor
    • Proven ability to prioritize, be assertive, detailed-oriented, and self-starting with a willingness to take ownership and oversee projects to their full completion
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

To comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $60k-$65k/yr. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and location.
