97.1 The Fan in Columbus is seeking a full-time Morning Show Producer to generate topics, book guests, develop content, and manage the audio soundboard for live shows and sporting events. The ideal candidate will have experience with digital audio and video editing, as well as strong computer proficiency. You should be able to write and deliver sports updates both live and pre-recorded and contribute creatively to the overall on-air experience. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a passion for sports. Morning Drive is the most competitive daypart in Columbus radio. Previous experience in a similar morning show role is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Produce a daily Morning Sports Talk show
- Cut and edit sound for use on all station shows
- Running audio board for live talk shows
- Running cameras for live video/YouTube
- Scheduling guests and live interviews
- Researching show topics
- Protecting the station's FCC license
- Providing creative input on broadcast elements
- Contributing to social media and website updates
- Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities
- Sports Update writing and on-air delivery
- Other duties as assigned
97.1 The Fan is one of the top sports radio stations in America and is the flagship station for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Columbus Blue Jackets. Additionally, The Fan is Central Ohio's home of The NFL and The NCAA Tournament from Westwood One, and the Cincinnati Reds.
