What You Will Do
Disney Streaming’s team is seeking a Senior Manager, Content Finance who will be an exceptional addition to our Finance team. In this role, you will develop an integrated understanding of the content portfolio and have full oversight of key performance and economic measurements. The right person for this role has demonstrated experience supporting and driving decisions based on exceptional analytical skills, is an outstanding communicator, and can creatively solve problems with a strong bias towards action. Additionally, the candidate will play a meaningful role in leading and developing junior team members. - Own the consolidated DTC (Disney+ and Hulu) near and long-term content P&Ls, synthesize key content performance and financial metrics, extract insights, and support content decision-making across the broader portfolio
- Serve as a subject matter expert and drive business objectives forward by devising frameworks, standardizing valuations / measurements, and leveraging KPIs to provide a consistent and precise assessment of opportunities or gaps across DTC content
- Initiate ad hoc analyses to devise solutions to business questions, drive and operationalize new initiatives, and accurately measure outcomes
- Lead deep-dive cross-functional working sessions with Content, Finance, Controllership, and Data & Analytics to track and inform variance analyses as well as overall content spend / investment outlook
- Play an integral role in managing and providing technical guidance to team members to improve problem-solving skills, accuracy in analyzing complex data, and ultimately, the quality of deliverables
- Spearhead executive-level content presentations and help facilitate discussions by crafting succinct narratives that surface actionable insights and guide decisions
- Closely monitor content performance trends / best practices both internally as well as externally by keeping a pulse on the broader landscape, and streamline information flow to the team and stakeholders
- Lead and develop direct report(s) through coaching and mentorship to ensure their continuous growth as a professional and success in delivering high-impact work
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of professional experience in a financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, strategy, content-related, consulting, or other highly analytical role
- Leadership experience including people management, mentorship, and project management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to guide a team as well as interact directly with executives across the organization under minimal oversight
- Self-driven and comfortable with problem-solving through use of new frameworks and methodologies to navigate ambiguity and answer complex business questions from leadership
- Attentive to details while also keeping perspective on the bigger picture; craft and present executive-level takeaways to leadership and stakeholders across Disney+, Hulu, and Local territories
- Ability to work both independently and/or lead others to devise dynamic models, distill key findings, and effectively explain decision-making among executives
- Strong work ethic with the ability to support and manage a team to deliver robust analyses under tight deadlines for both recurring and ad hoc projects
- Comfortable with managing and multi-tasking in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Exceptional quantitative/analytical and story-telling abilities via mastery of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly collaborative with a team-first attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in media entertainment/TV/film production is a huge plus
- Passionate consumer of content on Disney+ and Hulu
Education
- Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or another quantitative field

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CAa is $150,500 to $183,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
