Your New Role…
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Grip and Set Lighting Rental Supervisor. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy lighting and grip rental company, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained, organized, and ready for rental. The supervisor will also be responsible for managing a team of rental technicians, providing guidance and support as needed. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Manage and supervise a team of rental technicians, assigning tasks and overseeing their work. Train and mentor technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their job effectively.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of equipment rentals, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Forecast budget. Purchase equipment daily. Maintain and organize inventory of equipment, ensuring that all items are in good working condition. Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing for equipment rentals. Negotiate with Productions.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 3+ years of experience in the lighting and grip rental industry required
  • 3+ years supervisory experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
  • Knowledge of lighting and grip equipment and industry trends
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must be able to learn other specific programs needed for client service. Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as photocopying equipment.
  • Knowledge of RTPro Inventory Tracking System preferred
