Licensing Assistant, Penguin Random House Audio (Hybrid)

Penguin Random House, the leading Publishing house globally, is on a mission to ignite a universal passion for reading by creating books for everyone. We’ve seen great growth across the whole business, and we’re excited to add to our Audio team by hiring a Licensing Assistant!

As the premier publisher in the audiobook industry, Penguin Random House Audio is dedicated to producing top-quality fiction and nonfiction audiobooks written and read by the best in the business, including books by bestselling authors like Brené Brown, James Clear, John Grisham, Ali Hazelwood, Emily Henry, George R. R. Martin, Toni Morrison, Celeste Ng, Colson Whitehead, and Jacqueline Woodson as well as Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, and First Lady Michelle Obama. Joining a small and creative department, you’ll perform a wide variety of tasks to support the Licensing & Business Development team across all audio imprints and assist in making our audiobooks available in new formats and on different platforms, while interacting with colleagues across the Audio division and the rest of the company as we continue to grow our business.

The Licensing Assistant will spend a lot of time gathering information from multiple sources, comparing spreadsheets to ensure data accuracy, working toward multiple deadlines, and managing a lot of moving parts. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, able to prioritize and communicate accordingly, and can be active team player who balances working autonomously and collaboratively in both in-office and remote environments.

This hybrid position will be expected to work 2-3 days per week at our office in Midtown Manhattan for in-office meetings, occasional events, physically mailing materials and handling boxes, and daily ad hoc administrative projects. We need someone with a desire to learn and grow who can pivot often to answer queries, internally and externally, research rights, and organize submissions and sales materials. Come learn about licensing and the special place we hold within the publishing world. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).

Please apply using our ATS system by December 5, 2024, and include your resume and cover letter for consideration. Before applying for any role at Penguin Random House, we recommend you review our applicant resources page and look over our open-to-remote guidelines on our
