Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Microservices: Create and sustain a suite of microservices (JVM based) for our personalization framework, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

  • Feature Implementation: Successfully implement product feature requests by applying sophisticated algorithms and optimizing real-time services.

  • Code Refactoring and Maintenance: Engage in continuous code refactoring activities to improve the quality and performance of our services.

  • Unit Testing: Apply your extensive expertise in unit testing frameworks to guarantee comprehensive test coverage and employ CICD tools to identify and fill any gaps in coverage.

  • Monitoring and Health Metrics: Supervise the health metrics of our services, adding new monitoring capabilities to ensure performance and stability.

  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotations to maintain the stability and normal operations of the entire services stack.

  • Collaborative Development: Work closely with a team of engineers, actively participating in scrum/agile ceremonies to ensure seamless collaboration and project success.

  • Ensure Performance and Scalability of Services meet business requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Skills in Java, Kotlin, and Scala: Demonstrated expertise in these programming languages, following standard methodologies.

  • Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns, with proven ability to apply them effectively.

  • Algorithm Knowledge: Solid understanding of sophisticated algorithms and their application in real-time service configurations.

  • Component and Unit Testing Frameworks: Extensive experience with component and unit testing frameworks and CICD tools to ensure quality and coverage.

  • Performance Monitoring: Ability to monitor and optimize the performance of microservices, adding new capabilities as needed.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team.

  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with scrum/agile methodologies, actively participating in ceremonies to drive project success.

  • Experience using source control tools like git and svn.

  • 3+ years' experience with new product development, software development and system architecture.
